Business is in…..Italy

Business is in……Italy is part blog, part magazine and part portal.

What are the aims of this site?

There are many objectives, but some of the most important for me, Alex Roe, as the founder of this site, are the following:

  • To raise the profile of Italian businesses at an international level.

The Italian businesses that will be mentioned in articles here will not be the major Italian national and multinational firms. Instead this site will focus on established or new Italian businesses wishing to break into markets outside of Italy, either at a European or an international level. Special place will be given to interesting start-ups, that perhaps are looking for overseas investors. This site will also produce articles about small one-person businesses that can offer useful knowledge or services to others, especially when the knowledge on offer is at a local or regional level. The language of the site will be primarily English, but there will also be articles in Italian about businesses and professionals wanting to offer their products or services to those in other parts of Italy.

  • To identify and highlight rising stars.

The rising stars of the Italian business world are young people in their twenties or early thirties who have already started to move in the right direction career-wise. Features about these people, their education, skills and achievements will be written. The intention of this exercise is to showcase Italy’s upcoming talent. Articles will be written about anyone who catches my eye, and I work with one of the biggest business schools in Italy, so I will not be short of material.

  • To allow businesses and professionals to promote their skills and local knowledge within Italy.

Italy has a great wealth of businesses and skilled professionals. Many of these businesses and people are keen to work those in other parts of Italy, and to expand their businesses. To assist in this process, articles in Italians about businesses and professionals will be written. The only requirement is that such businesses and professionals have a strong unique selling proposition, to coin a key marketing phrase.

To render navigation as straightforward as possible, there are two key sections: English and Italiano. If you want to read about Italians wishing to network within Italy, simply select the ‘Italiano’ section. On the other hand, if you wish to know more about businesses and people wishing to develop overseas markets, work abroad, or you want to know about young talent that can potentially offer multinationals useful skills, then select the ‘English’ section.
